Anal dilators and more

Anal Dilators

It has always been the goal of Specialty Surgical Products, Inc., to manufacture the highest quality surgical devices, such as pediatric anal dilators and silo bags , with improved design and effectiveness. We hold to these same exceptional standards for all our products. Our state-of-the-art manufacturing facility enables us to provide the medical industry with wide selection of tissue expanders, custom designed tissue expanders, dilators, custom solid implants, and more.

New suction rectal biopsy system

One of SSP's specialties is pediatric surgery products. The most recent addition to our pediatric surgery product offering is the addition of the rbi2 suction rectal biopsy system. Made by Aus Systems, the rbi2 features a re-usable hand-piece with a single-use sterile capsule tip that eliminates problems associated with older version suction rectal biopsy equipment. The capsule houses an ultra-sharp blade for a clean cut, provides an airtight seal for precise suction, and captures the biopsy specimen for easy viewing. This next generation suction rectal biopsy system for the diagnosis of Hirschprung's Disease will be considered the gold standard for performing the biopsy.

With this new system, no more dull blades, accidental sharps injuries or inadequate specimens. You'll always get:

  • a clean, precise cut each and every time
  • consistent suction
  • uniform specimens
  • easy specimen access

Clear silo bag products

We also offer a wide range of silo bags suitable for staged reduction of gastroschisis or omphalocele in children. These clear silicone elastomer bags allow for optimal content visualization and are manufactured without a seam that could obscure the extra abdominal tissues. Each bag has a resilient, non-metallic ring on the open end that is designed to be placed in the abdomen or sutured to it, thus providing a closed environment that minimizes peritoneal fluid loss and bacterial contamination while the reduction is taking place. The other end of the bag has a reinforced loop that can be used in conjunction with an overhead support to create traction on the silo bag during the reduction process.
